Women2Women Dress for Success Day
The Central Islip High School Women2Women celebrated National Women's Month with a Dress for Success day. Every young lady chose a female who inspired them and wore buttons saying, Ask Me Who I Am!, and when questioned, responded eloquently about their SHEro. Example role models the students chose included but were not limited to Ruby Bridges, Shirley Chisholm, Katherine Johnson, Aretha Franklin, Ellen Ochoa, Maran Anderson and Michelle Obama. It was an exciting day celebrating women, power, and knowledge. Women2Women advisors, Mrs. Isabelle Mitchell and Ms. Antoinette Brown acknowledged Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Sharon A. Dungee for donating the beautiful scarves, and Principal, Mr. Eric Haruthunian and Assistant Principal, Dr. Tanisha Hunter for their support.
