Central Islip Schools dominated pre-game activities during the September 17 baseball game at Ducks Stadium. The Central Islip High School Varsity Cheerleaders, under the direction of Cheer Coach Rebecca Gallagher, cheered the crowd on before the game, which was attended by Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Youth Enrichment Services Director MaryAnne Pfeiffer. The squad's cheers were followed by the Reed Middle School Chorus, who sang the Star-Spangled Banner under the direction of Music Teacher Elizabeth Giglio. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sharon A. Dungee congratulated both groups after escorting the students and their teachers back into the stands where they enjoyed the game. Also present were Central Islip Athletic Director Trish Lectora, Teaching Assistant Liz Paul, and parents who came to support the students.
