THE IMPORTANCE OF ACADEMICS

DID YOU KNOW: IN 1975 A PERSON WHO GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE COULD EXPECT TO MAKE ABOUT 19 PERCENT MORE THAN A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE, ACCORDING TO THE COLLEGE BOARD. IN 2008, THE EARNINGS GAP WAS A STAGGERING 63 PERCENT. ALSO CONSIDER THAT A COLLEGE GRADUATE IS TWICE AS LIKELY TO BE EMPLOYED AS A WORKER WITH NO COLLEGE DEGREE. THAT IS WHY YOU ARE A STUDENT-ATHLETE, NOT AN ATHLETE-STUDENT.
